Every year the United States spends $3 trillion on healthcare, a number that is projected to increase by 5% annually. Throughout the rest of the world, billions of people are in need of healthcare but lack access or the means to afford it.
We are the Cost-Effective Healthcare Initiative, a student initiative that was born at MIT to tackle the growing crisis of cost in healthcare in the US and around the globe.
Our movement has now spread to include members from more than 5 Boston schools and hospitals. We are creating an MIT-based community of researchers and entrepreneurs who are committed to reducing the cost of healthcare worldwide through sensible innovation.
